Does it matter what brass i use to reload so long as it has been inspected? I bought some .38 wc reloads really cheap from a gunshow before i planned on getting into reloading and shot them today. I saved the brass, a mixture of all sorts of diff brands, and did a quick inspection today and it all still looks okay. So is this okay to use for reloading? What about the cheap, generic bullets I got for .40 from the range, is that brass fine too? Does the cheaper stuff have a shorter reloading life? Thanks in advance.

I would say if it stood up to the first firing without splitting, bulging, cracking, etc., then go for it! Stay away from any steel/AL cases I believe like regular Blazer (not Blazer Brass)

Its a good idea to sort by headstamp also. Due to the manufacturing process, each manufacturer will produce cases of varying composition, thickness, etc. This way you have a better chance of identifying any potential problems if they crop up.

I reload a lot of range brass. I do seperate by head stamp. I inspect every case for deformities, cracks and bulges. I discard cases that don't pass my inspection.
