South Alabama Shoot

Would like to organize THR member fun shoot in Bayou LaBatre. There is a huge old sandpit (free) we love to shoot in down there, 4WD recommended.

At least 1000++ X 500++ yards safe open state land to shoot on.

Any interested parties sound off. Would like a Saturday morning maybe the 23rd?

to bad it is so far from me i have been there .know some folks that live on the road to dauphin island and have a buisness in Bayou LaBatre.
Is forest gump going to be there?

No, don't have a sandbuggy to drive into the sandpit.

The road to the pit is red clay, no worries with getting stuck in sand. Plus I'll have my redneck limousine with tow straps to retrieve anyone who gets frisky.

So far the general consensus is FNG, I'm open to suggestions, I'd enjoy the chance to be social with you folks.

trueblue1776 are you talking about the old dreg dump area past the old fertilizer plant? I used to live on Bryant St and know the area pretty well. I now live off Hwy 188. Still in the area though. I do most of my shooting at Pascagoula Shooting Club http://www.pascagouladcm.com . It only 12.5 miles away ( http://www.pascagouladcm.com/viewpage.php?page_id=3 )and is a sanctioned 1000 yard range.
