I saw a quick story about this on one of the news stations out of Seattle last night. They had already rushed to call these guys the 'South Sound Snipers'.
While I don't think they deserve the term 'sniper', I do think that if they catch these guys, they should have their BB gun broken over their head. Shooting out the windows of a moving veihicle is a great way to cause an accident, which could turn a 'Hey, Watch this' prank into a homicide charge.

Windows shot out of 3 cars
Pellets or BBs fired at moving vehicles
SCOTT GUTIERREZ THE OLYMPIAN
OLYMPIA -- Frankie Chavez was on her way to an office Christmas party when she heard a bang and her passenger-side window shattered all over her husband.
Her husband felt something strike his collar and assumed he'd been shot. Chavez immediately pulled her 1998 Chevrolet Blazer off the road and checked her husband, Agustine, up and down to make sure he wasn't bleeding.
Fortunately, he wasn't hit by a bullet. But Chavez was still angry to learn that someone shot at her window with a pellet or BB gun, putting her in jeopardy and leaving her with an extra expense during the holidays.
"That's a big hunk of money I have to pull out of nowhere," the Yelm resident said. "It not only makes me mad that it happened, but just the fact that somebody would do that to somebody else."
Others shot at
Thurston County sheriff's investigators were searching Friday for the culprit who shot at three driver's-side windows Thursday along the 7700 block of Martin Way East. The shootings happened in rapid succession about 6:30 p.m.
No one was injured, although it was lucky the stunt didn't cause an accident or seriously hurt someone, sheriff's Capt. Dan Kimball said.
"They might have thought this was a prank, but it could have had tragic consequences," Kimball said.
Other vehicles hit by pellets included a 1996 Dodge Caravan and a 1997 Toyota Camry. A witness helped investigators determine that the sniper took aim from woods on the north side of the street.
Investigators think the shots probably were fired by juveniles, and they hope someone will come forward, he said.
"If it was kids, they're probably bragging about it or talking about it," he said.
Costly repairs
In the meantime, Chavez has to fork over $350, which was money intended for Christmas presents, to cover the repairs. She'll be without her Blazer until she can get it into the shop Monday.
Her husband's wool-lined Levi's denim jacket probably prevented him from being more seriously hurt.
"Had that been a real bullet, it would have killed him," she said.
They called 9-1-1 and the dispatcher told them about the other vehicles, Chavez said. They waited for a deputy to arrive, which made them about 90 minutes late for their Christmas party, she said.
"It was enough to damper anybody's evening," she said.
