Does anyone happen to know the significance of P.N. above the Eibar admission proof? I have heard conjecture regarding black powder, but I find it odd that a .38 special would be BP proofed in 1929, but stranger things have happened. Barrel, frame, and cylinder have the earlier lion proof. P.N. is above the admission proof.

Italian replicas may have a P.N. for "polvo negro", meaning "black powder" in their proof stamping. I imagine it's something similar in Spain.
