Some years back I got a Savage 11 in 223. It has the detachable magazine. Since I have been known to drop/lose things in the past I'm looking to get a spare,(or two), and wondering where to look?
Thanks.

Savage has made some changes to their actions over the years. I know there are 2 or 3 different stocks that aren't interchangeable and I think the magazines may be different too. It might matter which generation you have. I know Midway and Cabelas carry spare mags, but you might need to go straight to Savage to be sure you get the right one.

I've found Grab A Gun to usually have decent prices on mags and their shipping is reasonable. If you can figure out which mag you need (which Savage makes annoyingly more complicated than it needs to be), you can search the UPC on gun.deals and find the best deal. Thats how I usually go about it.

Just got a pair of the factory magazines from the Savage site.
Once I got around to ordering them they arrived promptly.
Not cheap but they are the correct ones for my rifle so it's all good.
