I don't know that I would go so far as to call it stupid, but I do not believe it will sell very well. Most double shooters are well versed at dropping in two at once, and even holding two in reserve before shooting if fast follow up is anticipated.

I'm a traditionalist. I see the value of having shells readily available, without fumbling, but if I can grab the shells quickly, I can load the shotgun myself just fine.

If you want a 12 Gauge double "speedloader", here's one:

I hunt with these in 12 and 20, on a belt, over a small bag of reserve ammo:

Now if they would just make them in 16...

Where and how can these be ordered? I would be interested in giving them a try. They might have a practical application.

2 shells between your fingers are tough to beat.

That's what the white hunters used to do with their double rifles.

Yup. But it's easy to drop or misalign them in the heat of the moment, and TGWH always had a few pals and bearers around as backup.

Anything that keeps the shells aligned *should* help reloads. I dunno if I really see a need for me (since I'm not likely going DG hunting with a OU) but I can see a potential utility for some.

true. i hunt africa alot (i use a .470 NE double), so when i use a side-by-side shotgun, i can reload in bout 2-5 sec.

there are times that I will eat a sandwitch and not realize that I didnt put those two shells up

not quite. sometimes another hunter with a lighter gun (ie a .348, .375 or a .300). that natives have never done :cuss:besides run (with me and others, including Capstick) when charged.

I guess old W.D.M. "Karamojo" used that 6.5mm Rigby bolt action for the fast follow ups! No offense to any; those guys exploits just amaze me. Popping elephants with a .303, shooting man-eating tigers with a .257. Getting within several feet of a rather upset 750 pound South Carolina hog is about as dangerous a game as I ever want to face. Bell, Corbett, and Company must have had ice water in their veins, no kidding.
