Hi all I just picked up a model 60 3" 357mag. I put on some nice looking oversize grips in the classic "coke bottle" style that Smith used to put on their revolvers, only downsized for a j frame. I love how they feel in my hand and it makes the gun look like a 3/4 sized 686 which is wicked cool.

The problem with this set up is the ejected shells dont clear the grip, and I cant use speedloaders. I wonder other than calling someone local like Eagle Grips here in Chicagoland, does anyone know who makes this style of grip that also allows for speedloaders to clear.

Im waiting out Snow-ma-geddon here in Chicagoland so I have time to think of these things. Any thoughts?

Yours is a very simple problem to correct. All that is required is a sheet of good medium grade sandpaper, a sheet of fine sandpaper, and a little elbow grease. Don't change the edges of the grip, just thin it as required. It is a simple matter to feather in the refinish of the exposed wood. It's a good kitchen table project inasmuch as you're snowed in anyway.

Badger Custom makes the grips you're looking for. I own the Rosewood Boot Grips for my M642 and they work perfectly with speed loaders but the larger full size grips will work just as well with speed loaders too. I know because they are on my M640 .357 Magnum.
