Does anybody know if there are speed loaders available for the new King Cobra? I tried my K Frame sized Safariland loaders but the Colt chamber spacing seems to be a fraction smaller than that of the K Frame S&W.

Thanks.

I tried my Smith & Wesson K-frame HKS speed loader on my new Colt King Cobra and it worked perfectly.

I think twist release speed loaders work as they aren't finicky on chamber spacing, but the push release Safari speed loaders just won't allow me to insert the bullets far enough for the release to engage.

Try 5 Star Firearms. If it's the same as the regular Cobra, I believe you would want the D6 model.

They're made from billet aluminum. They do allow the rounds to rattle a bit, but they're definitely not going to unlock themselves and fall out, and I've never had a problem with the rounds not lining up or not coming out.

The problem, as I see it, is that 5-Star (and Kimber) decided to rotate opposite of HKS. If they had only made them release the same way I would be much happier.

Over the years I have been happy with the way that the Safariland Comp loaders work, but they don't seem interested in reviving this old line of products. Jetloaders would be nice, but alas they are only made for S&W.

I use the HKS DS model. Fits the 2017 Cobra, 2018 Night Cobra and the 2019 King Cobra Carry. Got all three, they use the same speedloader. I’ve got a crap load of them. Drop a couple in each of my vests, coats and vehicles.

The King Cobra Carry cylinder is the same diameter as the Cobra. HKS DS Speed Loader will work.

And the HKS M3 will not work with the New Cobra. The DS will work, but it is tight getting past the monogrip.
