Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel Ammunition 357 Magnum 135 Grain Jacketed Hollow Point Box of 20 (SKU#23917)

Am looking for this ammo and can't find it anywhere; on line or at the local shops. .38 Spl is abundant, but the .357 version seems to be universally backordered or unavailable.

Anybody got a link to a vendor who's actually got some? I'm looking for about 3 boxes.

My source for those has dried up too.
You might try Corbon DPX 357.
When I compared it to the Speer GDSB 357
in my 340 PD, the Corbon had less reoil.

If it's for a lightweight gun (340-360),
and you want a good 38+P instead,
Double Tap makes a 125 (Speer bullet)
that goes 1100 fps out of a 2 inch.

I have those in my 340 PD as the last 3,
after 2 Corbon DPX 38+P's.
I didn't really buy the 340 PD for 357's,
although it's a nice option if I change my mind.
I bought it because of the light weight and ease of carry.
At self defense distances, I feel comfortable the way it's loaded.
Most of all, I can get the first 2 off in a hurry.

If it's for a steel frame 357 (640) and you'd consider a 38+P,
Buffalo Bore makes a 158 38+p,
that goes 1000 fps out of a 2 inch.

I load my 640 (38) with those as the last 3,
after their Standard Pressure 158's as the first 2.

I guess it all depends on which gun and which person.

Unless you're committed to paying $1.00 per round, you can buy boxes of 50 of the 38+P stuff from streicher's.com for $26.00 plus shipping...it's the LE packaging version. It's in stock--or, at least it was this morning; a shooting buddy just picked up two boxes.

But--the 357 version is O/S, and is $50.00 per box, IIRC.
