About ten years ago I picked up a little sack that was made for putting your spent casings in at the range. It is made out of an orange mesh with a draw string. I really love it. lets the dirt fall out through the mesh. Mine is wearing out and I would like to pick up a couple of three of them.

Does anybody know where I could pick some up?

Thanks.

My wife bought a "delicates" laundry bag at a Wally world. In the package comes a small delicates bag, which I immediatly absconded. The small bag is what I use for my range bag. I think they come in white and black. Mine is black. the whole set cost like 3 bucks.

Try the mesh bag that onions come in (assuming you eat onions). I even use them to sift out my tumbling media from cleaned brass. I was unloading a batch of grocery bags and stumbled onto'em, they work great and they're free.

You can get them at a Scuba Dive shop too (although they might be a bit bigger than you'd like. :) I'd imagine that mine would hold a couple of thousand .45acp's. )

Have a good one,
Dave

I use a small two-pocketed shotgun shell pouch. One for the loaded cartridges and one for the spent casings. Makes unloading and reloading a lot easier when you shoot without a bench.

Thanks for the leads. Sounds like the scuba bag would be a good deal for someone out for a day with a Garand or an M14. :). I'll check out WalMart for the delicates bag and keep an eye out for the onion bag, I hadn't thought of that. I'll also watch for the shotshell bags.

Thanks for the leads, much appreciated.

There is also I-SHOT. They make some great range bags and accessories.

$10 and holds 300 9mm or 200 45 ACP.

Enjoy,

Esheato,

I'll have to look into the I-Shot. That looks pretty slick.

Trickyasafox,

I'll look around for painball goggle bag. Don't every remember seeing on, but I'll look next time I go by a big sporting good store.

Thanks everyone.

I just ask the produce guys at my local grocery for a few grapefruit/orange bags. They work great once you sew/tie one end closed since they come as a tube.

Lyman also sells them for use in their vibratory case cleaners.

I use the Lyman ones. Easier than sorting all the different calibers of brass after you clean. Works better if you open the bag into the media sorter than trying to sift the brass while still in the bag. Only fill about 1/2 full and the brass cleans a lot quicker.

"...the mesh bag that onions come in..." My thought exactly. If you don't eat or cook with onions, you should. They're good for you. Jam packed with anti-oxidants so they are.
