There are two issues to be concerned with.
One is the power of the scope. The second is the resolution of the lenses.
.22 caliber at 100 yards is possible with a decent 20 power scope. .22 caliber at 200 yards your going to need a really clear 45 power scope at the minimum.
I use a Nikon 20X45 Fieldscope. The resolution is outstanding. At 200 yards I can see .22 caliber holes easily. Others on the same range can not see .22 caliber holes with 60 power.
Best advice I can give you is to spend some time at the range, tell the shooters you're in the market, and ask if you can look through their scope. I'm sure most will be more than willing, and you'll get a good idea of what you really need.
