Anyone have a favorite online site they think has a good variety for spotting scopes for the rifle range and other high magnification gear?

You can try the standards.....MidSouth, Lock,Stock & Barrel, Natchez, and SWFA

IIRC, some of sniper sites get into high end stuff

Problem is, every scope "has the best, most precision optics, superior multi-coated lenses, and unsurpassed low light capability". Doesn't matter whether it's $79 or $2,079

If possible, make a road trip to a big store that has a wide price selection. You'll see what the difference really is

I hear you on that one. I have some ideas, but want to see about how low particular models cost around so I can fish for the lowest. However like said, everything is always "clear and the best". I would like one with high magnification with better eye relief, but man there's a lot of $$$ on these.

Natchez had a pretty good deal on some refurbed Nikon spotters, close to half the price of a new one. I couldn't tell it wasn't new. It ran around $200. List for the same model new was around $400. I still haven't gotten used to using the thing though.
