Folks bashing the SA Professional are being silly. They are essentially hand-made custom guns, so of course they are going to be expensive. And they beat out all the "boutique" 1911 makers in the FBI trials based on both accuracy & reliability.

Special Ops folks not buying off-the-shelf, mass-produced crap is hardly surprising. It might be overkill, but so what? Expensive small arms for small groups of very good troops isn't even a fraction of 1% of the defense budget.

Before anyone gets in a huff and starts the usual mine is better than yours, MIM parts suck etc., it might be a good idea to reread the wording in the first post again.

Note the words "notice of intended sole-source procurement" with emphasis on intended. Other reliable sources capable of satisfying this requirement will be considered.

Pay no attention to Jammer. He spent time at Ft. Campbell, jumpin' out of perfectly good airplanes...Prolly landed on his head once or twice
But at least we did so with original design, steel 1911's.

MIM parts suck. I can send you the pieces of the ones that broke, and you can put them in your weapon.

Hoo-ah!
