"Buy one, I have never seen one that was bad."

I am sure there are millions of things that exist that you have never seen.

Let me make a few more thing clear about SA Inc and their QC. They have almost none.
What that means is they ship rifles that are 100% perfect in every way, rifles that have HUGE problems and everything in between.

I have PERSONALY seen all, bought, and worked on all of the above.

This info is not meant to insult anyone or their personal rifles. If yours is good then it is good. If yours is bad send it back. It might take more than one trip back before it is fixed or you may need to find someone else to fix it.

After it is fixed it will give you a lifetime of service.

The subject of this thread is their second batch of screwed up Garands built on a cast receiver. Their first batch in the 80's was much better. Back then they actually had workers that knew and understood the Garand design. They also had better used GI parts and apparently they were checked for wear before they were refinished and carefully assembled on a rifle.

In the 80's real Garands were hard to come by. Most were 100% worn out and nice one were very expensive and hard to find. Back then a SA Inc reproduction did make some sense.

Today with the CMP they don't.

If the CMP could sell real USGI M-14 rifles at a reasonable price their would be no reason to buy a SA Inc reproduction M1a.
