Wow, I saw the most blatant SA product placement today on Alias. One agent was about to shoot another agent and they went to an extreme closeup of the gun as he's about to pull the trigger. There in big bold letters is Springfield Armory. It looked like maybe a Operator model as his gun had the light attached. I don't recall where I've seen a closeup so close that you can see the mfg name (sure, we can tell the models and all, but this was like reading the serial number). I wonder if SA is donating Hollywood props.

I saw that too, and on top of it, that particular camera shot has been running in every preview for Alias for the last week or so.
Very cool. Alias is the only decent show on ABC. Well, Alias and whenever they let John Stossel in front of a camera.

I don't even watch that show, but I saw the shot as well. The girl is hot, but not hot enough to get me to watch the show. It's not good. Cool weapon though.

the wierdest was in Cowboy Bebop which takes place HUNDRED's of years from now. Faye Valentine packs a Glock 30. You can read on the slide in a close up 'glock 30 .45 Auto"
so funny

Yep... caught the scene in Alias (my wife loves that show... I
watch it with her but I'm not as addicted). Thought it was
pretty neat and began wondering what will they advertise next
on the show. Several weeks ago they seemed to be advertising
for the Ford Focus... there were a couple scenes where there
was a close-up on the "Focus" lettering on the trunk, just like
in commercials! Interesting show... they use G36's occasionally
as well as M4's. There were MP5K's and an HK91/93 based
scoped model too. I have a harder time with the handguns since
they're less easily recognized (except for the SA).

You guys are nuts. I love that show. My wife and I are both addicted to it. :)

Maybe I'm just easy to please as it's pretty much the only TV show I watch. And I can't even remember to watch it, I usually have to download it off the internet. I think it's well written and moves right along. Fun show.

Diversity, that's whats great about this country! Otherwise, we would all be carrying 1911's,,,,,,,,hmmm, that's not a bad idea.
