I Just sent my gun back for repairs and was wondering if anyone has ever dealed with a specific person there and had good results. I was hoping on contacting them to hopefully speed things up a little or atleast get a approx. of when it will be done. Its only 1 week old. and had to go back home.:(

Thanks

Only one that I have dealt with is Frank in the Performance Center..he does LEO and "Loaners" to holster makers and I couldnt be happier with the service that I got from him....

On the subject of turnaround time...I would wait for about 2-3 weeks and call them...IF you do you can prolly talk to there customer service rep...

Mind if I ask what went wrong with your weapon??

It is a NIB TRP and the right thumb saftey kept coming out after a few rounds like 4. Tapped back in and same thing again. And it shot about 3" low also. Kind of bummed me. But oh well.

Lacking. Good description. My Springfield Armory experiences have been negative to the max. I will only buy Colts new now.

OK I am waiting for a Positive response...:( I am going to call them tomorrow and try to light a fire under someone doubt it will work but who knows..

My experience with Springfield's customer service was extremely positive. After the recoil spring shot the short end of a 6" FLGR (I know Tamara, icky-poo) into the black hole located in a corner of my home, I called Springfield to purchase a replacement part. I spoke with a very courteous lady, Lexi, who sent the entire FLGR to me free of any charge. The lost part was clearly my fault, and Springfield absorbed the cost. Their warranty for repairs is for the life of the firearm and not just for the original owner. Just my experience, YMMV.

My experience wasn't the best either. My Mil-Spec shot low and the frame was etching the slide. I sent it in and they had it SEVEN weeks! 7 weeks, and it sat there at least 2 weeks waiting for someone to come along and shoot it and agree the front sight needed replacing. Once that was done, they let it sit a while longer and finally told me they were out of front sights. Finally they asked if I'd mind if they made me a front sight (or I'd probably still be waiting) and I said yes so they did. The test target they sent with the gun was a joke also - it was embarrassing. I love the gun, but it'll take a new barrel and bushing to make it halfway accurate.

My Springfield experience is 100% positive. The two times I've sent something in I was able to call them and get info at any time and the people I spoke to were always helpful and polite. In both cases I had the gun back - 100% repaired - within two weeks.

I was not impressed with my service. I had a few issues with my champ. Springfield fixed them then called me as i asked. When they told me everything was fixed- I told them to chrome coat the gun and checker the front strap.
The front strap came out perfect- so did the chrome coating (kind of).
My issue was - one of my problems was ( and still is) the frame was rubbing againt the slide. so the bottom of the slide was rubbing agaist the frame. They said this was fixed.
so now i was a new chrome coated gun with the coating rubbed off on the slide- were it rubs againt the frame.
After paying for the custom shop work and paying shipping both way - i have a less then perfect gun.
There attention to detail is half assed at best.
