Springfield EMP Micarta Grips?

Hey all,

I bought a Springfield Armory EMP 9mm that came with the cocobolo wood grips. What I really wanted was the blue-ish grey and black Micarta grips that comes on the other EMP model.

Any idea of who made those grips for Springfield or where I could buy the exact grips that came with Micarta model?

Anyone have a pair they would want to sell?

I tried calling Springfield and after a 30 minute weight on the phone I gave up waiting for customer service. They also aren't listed for sale on the SA website.

They are most likely made by VZ https://vzgrips.com/gun-grips/emp

They are made by VZ, but that exact pattern isn't available except from Springfield Armory. They are the Operator model, the current VZ offering is the Operator 2

Ok cool. Thanks to both of you. If I can't get a hold of someone at Springfield to order one, I'll probably just get the Operator II. Thanks again folks, you rock!

I was going to ask why anyone would dump cocobolo in favor of micarta. Then I realized they're not actually cocobolo but a rosewood colored laminate. And I did swap mine (Range Officer) for micarta from JP Grips.
