I'm going to be purchasing either a Springfield Loaded government size (lightweight alloy frame) or a Colt New Agent.

I will be using this gun as both a CCW and a range gun.

Does anyone have experience with the New Agent. I fondled it a bit at the local Gander Mountain a few days ago and it seems to me that the trench-style sighting makes for a very quick target aquisition, but I am hesitant to deviate from what I am used to.

Both the Springfield and New Agent are beuatifully crafted pistols, and I suspect that the New Agent would conceal better, but I am worried about reliability in an Officer size 1911.

My question is, given the choice, would you rather get a New Agent or Loaded model?

Them's kindly different critters, I suppose same genus and species, but definitely different breeds.

Intended for different purposes, you see. I think a Commander-sized pistol may be the best compromise betwixt those two. (Or a Defender if you want sights)

But I still vote Colt. :D
