Springfield M1a

I'm in the market for a rifle. I've always like fullsized main battle rifles. My question, what is the going market price for the plain-jane fullsized Springfield? The only prices I've seen are on the net and they are high. Are there any other makers of M1a's that are more affordable?

about the cheapest you will find is a Chinese model,though of lesser quality than American made.

Typical price I've seen for a Chinese is $700 to $800.Typical price for a M1a standard is around $1000 to $1300.

I think you'll find the Springfield M1A starting around $1,200 and most others going up from there easily to $2,500. Not cheap, but then it is built pretty darn sturdy, too.

believe me pinetree I WANT ONE bad! Cant wait for the day when I can.Have'nt decided on just which yet but probably I'll take my time and look for a older one with more military parts.There is a certain serial number range to look at though I dont have the data at hand right now.

Though newer ones are good also.

they really are not much more expensive than a quality FAL or ar15.Guess it is supply and demand.Im keeping a watchful eye on the coming elections...the antigun propaganda machine might start up again if the Dems get control.

check out fulton armory! That is where mine is gonna come from! soon as the money comes together! they have several models and you can get it done up almost anyway you want it. i am plainning on going with the service model and just getting one of the vortex flash suppressors on it and call it good, until i get more funds!
