Springfield Operator Front Sight Question

The front sight on my Springfield Operator has a pin that is backing out, see the photo below. This is a range gun, I've put about 500 rounds of WWB through it.

Is this pin part of the night sights? Can I just drive it back in? Should I get Springfield involved?

Just tap it in flush, maybe with a drop of locktite Its a safegaurd, so the sight blade won't fall out, but that blades pretty tight in the dovetail.

Agreed. Use a roll pin punch so the pin does not mash or peen over. Or a local gunsmith can handle it.
