I'm looking for some info on the Springfield TRP 1911s. Can anyone help with the following questions?

Are they made completely in the USA?
Are the ejectors glued in?

Thanks In Advance!

I will check my TRP's ejector for you when I get home. Pretty sure it's pinned. The raw forgings are from Imbel in brazil but they are finished and hand-fitted in Geneseo.

I've heard they are not "hand-fitted" before but mine seems to have been... the last three digits of the serial number are hand-engraved on many of the parts, indicating that someone took the time to make sure each piece was as tight as possible and stayed with the gun.

Not sure why you can't believe that. Hell, they glue the tiles on the space shuttle, they hold up pretty well considering they get launched into freaking space.

Yeah, but they go through a lot more abuse than a 1911 ejector will ever see. I use mime for home defense and I am absolutely unconcerned that it will fly off randomly.

I was looking at a TRP but to pay that much for a gun that has the ejector glued in does't sit well with me.
