Springfield XD .45 Tactical

Just bought myself a Springfield XD .45 Tactical. For those of you who haven't shot one of these pistols, do it!!! This is the sweetest polymer pistol I have ever fired. This gun puts Glocks in the dirt. No offense to Glock lovers, but truth hurts. Also bought my wife a Taurus PT 111 Mil Pro in 9mm. Descent shooting gun for a 3 inch barreled pistol. Only one problem with the Taurus. One of the mags consistently pushes rounds into the chamber vetically causing a failure to load. Anybody have any experience with these guns that can tell me if this is common? Thanks, and again...GO SHOOT THE SPRINGFIELD XD .45.

so will the xd, i am sure ya'll all saw the xd torture test many months back. 20,000rds and the author kept the darn thing!

I agree replace the mag and enjoy the weapon.

my shooting buddy just bought one. He let me shoot it a little on our range trip yesterday. the XD-45 is #2 on my want list (behind an AR).

He was really chewing out the center of the targets at 15 yds. Must be an accurate pistol.

I went to the range yesterday with a co-worker who had just bought a XD .45 Tactical. After shooting a couple of mags thru his XD I was sold. It's a very impressive polymer pistol! I've owned three polymers, a Steyr M9, a Glock 17L, and a HK USP Elite 9mm, and I liked his XD Tactical more than any of the ones I've owned. I plan on buying a XD 5" Tactical 9mm OD Green after the holidays.

I have had mine for about 4 months now. I shoot about every weekend, 250-500 rounds. I haven't had a single hiccup with my XD .45 tactical. My only complaint is that I didn't but the service model at the same time!

I plan on buying a XD 5" Tactical 9mm OD Green after the holidays.

Take a look at the earth tone one they have. It's almost desert color. It doesn't look like much on their site, but I like it better than the green in person. If I can get rid of my OD Green Tactical .45GAP, the earth color would be the one I get.
