I just bought an XDM 40 3.8", and when I tested it at the range yesterday I noticed it was shooting really low. I was probably at about 15 feet, and it was impacting around 8 inches lower than my point of aim, unless I lined up the top of the rear sight posts with the bottom of the front, and then put the dot on target. At first I had problems with it shooting wide, but I think I was limp wristing it (and when I tightened my grip I tightened my shot placement).

I was wondering 2 things: First, what is the best way to get rid of a limp wrist?
Second, has anyone else had this issue (low shooting) with the 3.8" XDM? What did you do to overcome it? I'm pretty sure it's not just me being bad, as I've shot the 4.5" XDM 40 and 45 with very good results.

I'm going to get new sights for it (not because of this issue, I just want night sights), so would that possibly fix the issue?

With all that said, I actually do like this gun. I can conceal it just fine with a 16-round magazine, it feeds really well (except for one bad reload that got stuck in the barrel, but that was bad ammo 6 years ago that I was stupid enough to use yesterday) and it's very comfortable.
