It really looks like a decent gun..I was kind of skeptical, but from first appearance I don't think it's all that bad. It really doesn't offer anything special that would make me buy it over another polymer, striker-fired service gun, but I wouldn't mind checking one out when I get a chance. The ergos look good, but I wish I had some numerical dimensions to look at before I make any further judgement.

I thought it was cheesy how many times they compared almost everything about the gun to a "1911." Not even close...

i am gonna wait for about a year after they come out to check them out in case there are any bugs early on, but it being a ruger it is gonna be g2g i am sure, and there cs is outstanding.

I'm with you, cpshooter. I was also skeptical, but the slimness claim looks interesting, as does the capacity and manual safety. I dumped my P89 and P90 due solely to their bulkiness. They were replaced with an XD45 and XD9.

I'll probably wait on a .45 version, but the pricing might make me jump on a 9mm if it is reasonable,

Regards.

Jamie

i am not much of a fan of da/sa and i am glad to see that ruger is finally having a striker fired offering. it has been a long time comming. sure they have dao models but i like this striker system, kinda why i have the xds.
