Like many of you, I've been seeing SRVV 7.62 brake more and more in photos of the Russian "special units" lately so I decided to pick one up and see why all these guys were switching to this brake vs the well respected and standard "AK-74 type" brake that has been used for so long.

I went to the website at the bottom of this post and ordered the brakes pictured above (standard SRVV in 7.62 and Jet brake in 5.45). The company was very easy to deal with and most of the ordering process could be done in english, the only exception was entering the credit card information––-but that's easy enough in any language.... I received at tracking notice the day after ordering and the brakes arrived at my door 18 days after placing the order.

I went out with my SGL 21 and a bunch of Golden Tiger 124gr FMJ rounds to do a little T&E on the brake. Here's a video of the testing and what I found:

Review/Test Video

Chronograph numbers:

No brake: 2404 fps average
SRVV brake: 2374 fps average
SGL brake: 2388

As always, ensure you're in compliance with 922r regulations.
