Anyone have a Stag Model #8 ? Any reviews ? Will these except high capacity Bushmaster mags ? Thanks
 
You mean the new piston rifle right? They accept standard AR-15 mags. So if bushmaster uses the standard design then they will fit. I had two at the shop but had to return them as soon as I opened the cases. Not made for my state, anyway. Stags have the typical cheap AR finish, easily blemishes. They use a muzzle break that is attached to a sleeve that is welded to the barrel. I have had experience with the model 2 which is the same rifle, minus the piston operated action. They are good for messing around, not really accurate for long range varmint hunting. The piston system should make the rifle very reliable. Chrome in the barrel is only good for protecting the barrel from those who burn through a high cap mag in under a minute. Otherwise it wears unevenly and accuracy decreases over time. I don't really like any AR, I may build my own soon to have a Match rifle to get into the competitive shooting that is prevalent in my area. Anyway, it is too soon to have a serious review on that rifle, however I know from experience and from selling many Stag's that they are the best value in AR's right now.
