So you have purchased and fit a whole bunch of new stainless parts on a pistol and they are polished to a high shine from fitting and buffing.

Is there an easy method for getting a uniform finish on them? Such as a satin (I was thinking garnet in the tumbler?)

I can live with the shine, but if I could easily make them all uniform in finish I would.

Glass bead blast. Harbor Freight makes an inexpensive bead blast gun. If you have a compressor, this is the easiest fix.

Bead blasting is the way to put a satin finish on. You have to use low pressure for the lighter satin. Too much pressure and you will get the gray finish. The glass beads shatter with too much pressure.

Added content. When bead blasting yoiu will get the most even texture when the surface is in the same state/finish. Like starting with a 320 grit sanded finish.

Another option is a gray Scotchbrite pad.
Use this to put a grained satin finish on that will match most factory guns.

The trick is to "stroke" the pad in one direction so as not to leave circular scratches where a pad is reversed on the part.

I have used the gray pad to clean up the flats on a 1911. Works. You do have to be very careful on the edges.

Again, another vote for scotchbrite. I used it on my SP101 on some scratches and it looked factory after a few swipes
