Stainless or Nickel for CZ-75?

The nickel is the prettiest, but the polycoat is the most functional.
The stainless won't rust and neither will the nickle but it will tarnish. The polycoat can wear and scratch but it also can be touched up.
I would choose the stainless if its not that much more because its the most durable. Second would be the nickle and last would be the polycoat.
If you don't have money to burn, then choose according to what your finish will have to endure with your type of use. In the end they all shoot the same.

I've had my CZ75B (polycoat) and carried if for nearly a year in the South (humidity and sweat). No problems with the finish. A daily wipe down is all that has been needed.
I do like the matte stainless CZ75B and would consider that finish before nickel. Nickel is too shiny for me and for concealed carry work it's flashy and easier to see when you might not want it to be seen.

Well I got a polycoat CZ-85 as it was $398 + tax and that was the best deal. My wife is lefty so having an ambi gun is good. The 85 was actually cheaper than the poly 75s. I almost got the nickel, but they wanted $449 + tax for it and I was $7 short on cash and he wouldn't come off that much, so I said OK and went to the other dealer. Stainless was going for $489 I believe.

The CZ in nickel is NOT SHINEY. Its almost a matte finish, and less shiney than a matte stainless.
I've got several nickel CZs (an 85 Combat and a Compact). Nice guns. Also have polycoat. I don't like the look of the stainless models.
The only advantage of stainless, is that if you ever really ding it, you can probably fix the problem yourself.
The polycoat is very durable, and my nickel-finished models seem impervious -- but I'm sure stainless will be less trouble in the long run. (But they're just too flashy for me.)

The stainless 75 looks very kewl...If I wanted a CZ, that's what I'd get...

Have the best of both worlds go, for the two tone.I own one and it's sweet looking.

I always did like a Nickel finish the best so that would be my choice.
At some point you have to decide what you like best then pay the price for it. Asking others does nothing to help that. If you are going to be cheap then buy the cheapest one and always admire the one you like or spend the few extra dollars (and it's not that much more in price) and buy the one you really like.

The nickel isn't very shiny and the stainless is defintely shinier, but even the stainless isn't as shiny as some highly polished stainless guns I have seen (like Ruger Vaqueros). If I enjoy this gun as much as I think I will, I'll be getting a Stainless sooner or later probably.

I've got CZ 75's in Polycoat, nickel (it's matte, not bright), regular stainless (it's matte, not bright and looks almost like the nickel), and one of the very few high-polish stainless (only a few were shipped). A friend has one in blue, and it's absolutely one of the most beautiful blue finishes I've ever seen.
None of my guns shows any wear, rust, scratches or dings; you're safe with Poly, nickel or stainless. Aesthetically, they're all pleasing. Because the stainless is matte - a bead blast look - it may someday show scratches(?).
If I had to choose one, I guess I'd pick their regular matte stainless, for durability and beauty.

Get one in stainless and one in polycoat.
You're going to have at least two anyway.
Since the nikel and tainless look pretty much the same, I don't see any reason for nicklel since it is a coating that will tarnish and can be rubbed off.

I would pick stainless. I think the stainless CZ looks great, and I really like knowing that there is no thin coating of finish to scratch, chip, or wear off. Of course it is possible to scratch or mar a stainless finish, but this normally isn't too noticable and does not compromise the corrosion resistance of the gun.
I have a couple of CZs with the polymer finish, and they are fine - I don't think mine show any finish wear. I know someone who has used polymer finished CZ very heavily and roughly for years (carrying it lose in a duffle bag with other stuff that rubs against it, thousands of hours of holster carry, etc.). The polymer as worn or chipped off some of the sharp edges. It definately looks well used, but the gun still works fine. I doubt that most shooters would give any gun as much use and a abuse in a lifetime. The nickel also looks nice, but if I were buying a full-sized, all-steel CZ, I'd happily pay a little more for the stainless.
