Did a search and couldn't find a clear response to this, so I apologize if it exists elsewhere.
Are stainless steel barrels any less accurate than regular blued rifle barrels? Thinking in terms of bolt action rifles, here.
When I was researching AR15s a while back, I recall reading that chrome-moly barrels are a bit more accurate than chrome-lined barrels, but don't hold up as well after thousands of rounds fired. That got me wondering if straight stainless steel barrels are also going to differ in accuracy in a bolt action rifle [from other barrels].
If there is no accuracy difference, is there anything that I should know about stainless steel barrels before deciding that's what I want on my rifle, or is there essentially no difference other than the look, and the stainless steel being less prone to rust?
Thanks for the help.
