Star model B question

Hello, can anyone tell me what the letters LPN stamped into the front strap of the grip on my Star model B indicates. The same letters and the serial number are stamped into the black holster that came with the gun. Any theories will be considered. Thanks, da V.

An LPN marked pistol would have been one issued to the German Police after WWII , probably late 40's into the 1950"s..

I have one exactly like that. You can research the year manufactured. Mine is 1944.
