I just picked up a NIB Star PD so the buffer isn't a problem...yet. I see many posts of people looking for a replacement buffer which are just about impossible to purchase. Why not just buy some nylon or rubber washers from a hardware store and drill the center hole out to fit the guide rod? A round spring on a round guide rod? I don't think the PD pistol will tell the difference with a ROUND washer I mean round buffer. Isn't this a no brainer?:scrutiny: Or am I missing something?

I think you're right. But the buffers I think are made of neoprene and faucet washers last time I checked are also neoprene .Rubber comes in different hardnesses so you need the appropriate one. www.mcmaster.com has sheets of neoprene rubber available in different hardnesses. You could make a punch out of tubing to cut out the washers.
