Start a National Buy a Gun Month???

Can't we start a movement...for a National Buy A US MADE GUN MONTH?? Maybe contact an NRA rep and see if they would support this. I mean how great would that be to give yourself a gun each yr. whether you need it or not!! It would make a great statement,,could drive attention to the NRA, gun ownership, support the US gun manufacturers, force the press to cover it. I see so many benefits of this. Who wants to work on this with me?

I vote that every month that has at least 30 days in it be named a "Buy A Gun" month with one floater to be used for months that have less than 30 days.

I think that we should to a handgun month and a rifle month, maybe even a shotgun month.

Have the rifle month be a month before deer season. And have the handgun month be in the fall when it it cold and you will be indoors shooting. Even more justification to buy another gun during those time periods.

Maybe even better would be to make September the month in defiance of the AW ban.

If US gun companies want my business, they should get it in the most ideally capitalist fashion possible: earn it.

...Yes you're right. American companies would certainly get a huge pop in gun, ammo, related purchases...So stating American made is not needed or approp...Let them earn it.

I like this idea on so mnay levels. First, and foremost it is a reason to buy a gun. Not that anyone realy needs one other than they want to. But honestly this is a good idea. Maybe it would work better if it was a national self defense month so it could include take a class, some martial arts, etc... I think it has some potential.

There already is one. But since no one could decide on which month, I have been buying one a month so that I don't miss it.
