I did a search on using steel cased .308 in a FAL but all I found were a bunch of old results. Since no one is making the laquered coated stuff anymore, I just wanted some fresh opinions on how the polymer or zinc coated steel cased stuff is working out in these rifles.
Just looking for a way to afford some range time (and right now I don't have time or the ability to reload).

Put a couple of drops of oil on the cartridges in the stack. This will reduce the friction between the steel case and the chamber and it will be easier on the rifle.

Runs fine in my DSA.

Straight from the horses mouth......

That's CYA to avoid paying warranty claims and steering clear of the problem I imagine. If I owned a gun company I would do the same thing whether the gun shot that ammo fine or not. I would probably add Pakistani ammo to the list, even though I personally shoot a lot of it with no problems.
