Looks like yall were having fun. It also looks like you have taught him good gun safety. His finger was never on the trigger, and didn't point the gun at you when the photos were taken. I can’t tell you how many photos I've seen with irresponsible gun handling. It’s good for fathers/grandfathers to teach their sons/grandsons to be safe and responsible, while enjoying time together.

...I also love the camo Jeep in the background!

EDIT:
I forgot to say I also have a 9mm Hi-Point carbine for a few years now. It has been great and has never skipped a beat in thousands of rounds... One of the cheapest and fun to shoot little guns I own.

The custom paint job is mine. I have been off on medical leave and got bored. My stepson is a dyed in the wool American, and a real credit to his mother. We went out shooting again today and both of them pay close attention to what I say. I don't worry with them around.

The young man has good firearm manners. Looks like he's having a great time.

BTW- he's dressed like the bad guy in that movie Fargo !!!:D

Nice! I would LOVE to get one of those 9mm Carbines. They would be ultra fun, but alas I like i California, so its probably a no go.

I initially had my old man urge to tell you to slap him upside the head and make him tie his boots, but it passed. :neener: Looks like everyone is having a good time!

I get my carbine next week.. jacked over it!

Not to rain on everybody's parade, but I was never much a fan of the "posing with as many guns as you can hold with them pointed in every direction" pictures. Maybe because it is simply because I was taught a man (my grandfather), who was old, old school about how you handle firearms.

I can only say that I would get a first class butt kicking (as per your last post, I toned down the language) if I had ever even thought of doing anything like that, let alone ask to get a picture of me like that. But then again, not many grandfathers teach their grandsons combat shotgun/pistol shooting when they are 12 either, so...

I guess my point is that a gun is a tool, not a toy, and that is why I object to the pictures. I was just always taught that handling any kind of firearm is always a serious matter, and that you never play around with any weapon.

Still, as another poster noted, at least the barrels are pointed in a (somewhat) safe direction, and the guns appear unloaded.

Not trying to pick a fight, but with the way I was taught about about gun safety and how to handle firearms, I thought it needed to be said.

one grandpa to another - good job!!!

besides the 10/22 my hi-point 9mm carbine is the one all the grandkids want to shoot. I put a scope on it and they love to see who is the best shot- so far the the oldest girl is just a tad better than the oldest boy
