I have a stevens 311A SXS in .410. With double triggers, since I got it out of the the rear trigger dose not work (no restiance at all). The front still cocks and fires fine the gun has not been fired in 3 years. Dose anyone know a place where I can find a exploded view. Thinking a spring may have broken or came loose somewhere. Any suggestions welcome. (I know I should take it to a gunsmith)

Gun Parts Corporation has exploded views.

I will give you fair warning: Of all the guns you can get into trouble with disassembly and reassembly, double barreled shotguns are the absolute WORST.

Most doubles are assembled at the factory with assembly jigs that hold things in position.
Without those jigs, OR knowing exactly how they were assembled, you very often find yourself with a bag of parts looking for a gunsmith.

Trouble is, many gunsmiths don't know either.

I'd take that one to the smith. If its in good shape, it goes for a lot more than the 12 ga versions.

I picked up an unfired 20 ga for $380 OTD and a 12 ga that had 100% blue and case color. Yes, a legit 100%. That one was $280 OTD.

A mint .410 asks $600, although I've seen few go for $475 on the low end and up to $600 on the high end. I've found everyone to ask $600 though. Everyone says they want a .410, but few seem willing to pay for one. :)

A local shop of mine has 2 .410's both at $599. One is perfect with a solid rib and the other is a 311E "deluxe". It seems to have better checkering and more of a redish stain. Its very nice and I ALMOST bought it, but I noticed not one, but 2 stock cracks where the receiver and wood meet. This is common especially on 311's. BTW, I am told the vent rib models ask a bit more yet.

Either way, take that gun to be fixed by a good gunsmith. An American made .410 SxS is something they never made a lot of.
