Hey guys I just got a Stevens 620 takedown in 16 GA on a trade I did last night. The barrel has been cut down to 19 inches based on some research I found this thing was made in or after 1948. I'm thinking of turning it into a solid truck gun, the issue is when the barrel was cut there was no bead sight put in, it's just the barrel with no sight. Is this an easy fix to do on my own or should I let a gunsmith do it?

For the small fee he'll charge, have a gunsmith do it. If you could do it, you wouldn't be asking the question.

I recommend the Spark II fiber optic front sight.

I had an 870 barrel cut down some years back, from 28" to 18 1/2". While the gunsmith had it I had him thread the barrel for choke tubes and add a bead front sight. If I were doing the same thing again today I would go with some sort of fiber optic front sight.

Well now its going to have to go to the smith , I tried to fieldstrip the shotgun to give it a good cleaning/scrubbing and now I cant get the damn thing to come apart or back together its just stuck in its current state.

I took my 520A apart. I got stuck too on reassembly, how the lifter goes in. Finally figured it out after messing with it for a hour.
