steyr-style sights

I'm still waiting for SOMEONE to market the Guttersnipe sights for modern pistols. Would be easy to remove the front & rear sights & drift in the Guttersnipes in a rear dovetail.

Wouldn't the seriously decreased sight radius hinder accuracy?

Not in a combat situation. The first time I saw one was at a gun show in Houston. I didn't think too much of it until the owner of an original S&W ASP pistol showed me how to use it. It's almost like using a scope. You look through the sight to see what you're aiming at. The sight helps "funnel" your focus to where you can't help but aim at the target. Makes the sight radius inconsequential.

It's not a target sight by any means. But, for a less-than-25-yd. combat pistol sight, it's hard to beat. I'd love to have one for my Firestar and 1911.

If you ever see an ASP pistol on display, try it. You'll see what I mean...:cool:

Just curious;

Have you actually fired a gun with a guttersnipe sight on it, or have you just handled them? Untill now, I don't recall ever hearing anything positive about them.
