STILL havent recieved my FAID card!!

Some of you may remember my previous posts, but Its been 6 months and I STILL havent recieved my FAID card from the police station(I live in NJ). Is there anything I can do to get it? dont they by law have 30 days to process the paperwork? what's going on here.. this is crap. I want to go down there and give them a piece of my mind!

We got FOID cards here in IL. I know the pain of waiting but 6 months?!?!?

I waited about 2 months and it was hell.

I am in Hudson County, and it took 70 days for my FID and pistol permits, and that was including the the Thanksgiving/Xmas/New Years holidays.

The state's mandate of 30 days is unrealistic, as it assumes you're going through a police department that is as well staffed as the State Police are.
Where I am, there is one Lt. that does it, and nobody else at that PD knows their ass from their elbow about the process. Or, you're stuck going through a PD in a town that elected a Anti-gun Police chief, and he's dragging his feet on signing it.

I know 30 days is "the law", but if you actually want your permits, I recommend that you refrain from complaining...

Do NOT go down to the police station in a huff. Don't even mention the 30 day rule. They have a court ruling, DIANE M. ADLER v. CHIEF DANIEL LIVAK, on their side. The 30 day rule was thrown out the window with that case.
