"Anybody know where I could get a copy of a rifle stock carved"
"I send them my current rifle stock, they copy and carve the stock in a better quality wood"
I have fallen behind, I need stocks, went to a friend, 6 months, took 10 to another friend, 8 months? nothing! So I took a look at what I have and will never use as in lathes, pieces and parts, I have started to build a profile machine/copying machine, as with what I do not have as in reamers etc. if I do not have a pattern I can borrow one for use.
Copying a stock and using a stock as a pattern is not the ideal way because of inletting, a pattern can be used to cut a stock with out inletting. As to your question, No, I do not know, it seems most have gone to NC machines or cut 6+ stock at a time, that makes cutting one expensive. Years ago I tried Richards Micro fit, after receiving the stocks I told them I thought I could teach wood peckers to do a better job, I did tell them the wood was nice.
