For a bull barrel 10/22, which stock would you choose:

Hogue OM or Butler Creek Target, Fajen?

Or if none of them is your choice, say so, and give a nearly equal priced option.

Thanks.

Ps My setup is bull barrel and scoped shooting out to 100 yards. Need a good stock to put that action in.

I like the Fajen Legacy with 4 adjustments (< that is an important part) to fit me perfectly. It is the ugliest of the bunch, but also the one that is most comfortable, whilst retaining a solid feel and free floating bbl. Here is mine:

:)

i got the hogue overmolded one, and if i had it to do over again i would have chosen something different. not that theres anything wrong with the hogue, its just not right for me.

i am considering using the old "3/4 socket wrapped in sandpaper" trick on my original stock set.

either that, or something like mav has there.

anyways, heres mine for now

i think the main reason im not crazy about my hogue stock is that i like to slide my cheek on the stock, or slightly adjust my hold, and its tough on the rubber. feels like ive got my face on a racing slick.

What I ultimately like is the Predator Raptor stock, but they are expensive. They feel very good to me. Midnight or Forest Shadow. I don't have a lot of money, though [being out of work, currently], but would prefer a laminate stock for its rigidity.

As for cheaper stocks, the Hogue and Butler Creek Target stocks are the main ones I'm looking at. And as for the "lint sticking to the Hogue", that really is an undesireable trait. And, the rubber can scratch a little easier than I'd like.

Well, I went ahead and "pulled the trigger" on a Predator Raptor stock in Midnight color. I have tried a few thumbhole stocks, regular stocks, and pistol grip stocks, and the Raptor felt the best to me, so I got one. I will post pictures as soon as I can here.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. :D

I like the Hogue on a 10-22. Don't care for them on a centerfire rifle however.

Thanks, Roden. I was lucky enough to win an auction for this stock, and save nearly $100. Looks good in the picture, . . . . better in person. :)
