I am getting this rifle. As you can see from the picture at the other end of the link the stock is not the best for scope use. To save money from not having a complete stock made I am thinking about having a higher cheek piece dovetailed into the stock. I saw an older sporterized military rifle that this had been done to and even though the wood didn't macth it still looked nice. I thought about the adhesive and lace on cheek rests but with the excessive slant of the stock they would still be awkward with a scope.
Good idea?
Can anyone recommend a stock maker with good prices to do the job?
