Does any other company market or manufacture a gun like the Stoeger Condor Outback? I like the the versatility of the gun but have reservations about the quality over the long haul. There does not seem to be good reviews yet since it is new on the scene. Most reviews from gun magazines tend to be very good on all products , hence I shun there compliments. The Outback is very reasonable in price but I want something that will last and would be willing to pay more for that. Any replies will be appreciated. Sincerely, Snooperman

I have a Stoeger coach gun. I like it. There's no shortage of Cowboy Action competitors around here that use them.

I'd buy a Condor Outback in blued and wood if I ran across one that tickled me, not mail-order, (not sure I'd trust pig-in-a-poke for Stoeger fit-and-finish).

...Not because I think it would be particularly good for anything, I just think they're pretty cool, if you need a tenth-or-so shotgun.

I looked at one in store before. It held nice and felt like a handy shotgun. I like the concept. However, I didn't care for the rifle-type sights on what (I thought was intended to be) more of a bird-type gun. But, IIRC, the gun magazine authors that reviewed them were able to hit alright with them .

Some of the Condors have beautiful wood. Others, not so much. Definetely a good idea to see the one your buying in advance.

Or 24th or 25th. I'd buy it to have and to play with. I think I could look right through the rifle sights if I ever hunted birds with it. As a big kid, and young adult, I hunted Quail with a rifle sighted Winchester pump, cyl bore. I don't remember ever seeing the sights on a covey rise.

Might I suggest the Beretta 689 Gold Sable?

If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

I think its built around more of a "slug in one pipe, buck in the other" sort've setup. I could be wrong, but I think thats the point.

I don't. If it were "the point", why does the gun have a single non-selective trigger? Does it even have chokes? Can't remember. But, the non-selective trigger, the rifle sights, and the extractors pretty much combine to make the thing pretty useless for anything, but a O/U slug gun IMHO. It'd be an okay home defense gun with buckshot, but would be better with ejectors. I'll keep my Spartan coach gun, put it that way.

Exactly.

Hence, the Gold Sable.

Offered in the proven 9.3x74R caliber, it has double triggers.

I have no idea what they cost in the US. But I'm sure the Beretta Gallery in Dallas would be happy to hook you up.:D
