One of my Stoeger M2000 12ga autos broke the ejector plunger assembly after about 3500 rounds (mostly 2 3/4 #4 steel). Called their CS line and the nice lady got one of their gunsmiths to call me back within 30 minutes. We exchanged a few emails where I provided pictures of the problem.

They gave me the option of sending it back, sending the parts to me to fix, or their paying for a local gunsmith to fix it.

They sent the parts to fix the broken one, plus a spare set just in case for the other one, along with a nice looking Stoeger hat. Took 5 business days from the date of the call to receive parts.

Got to say that I am impressed.

I've never had a single thing break on my Beretta 3901 and it's been shot alot. This must be a common problem with the Stoeger M2000's though. The ejector assembly inside the reciever came off while I was shooting skeet and jammed the bolt open. I was unable to fix it and took it back to the gunshop. It ended up getting shipped back to the factory for repair. I really haven't shot it since then. When they repair these ejector assemblies on the M2000's is this repair permanent or is this something that's going to happen every 3500 rds or so? Tango, you're not the first person I've heard complain about the ejector issue with the M2000. This almost sounds like a common defect. Have you had any more problems with your ejector since it's been fixed?

From what I understand, a limited number between 68xxxx and 73xxxx left the factory without loc-tite on the screw on the left side of the receiver that holds the part in place. The fix is a new screw, ejector, and loc-tite. The part is also the exact same as some Benelli's and Beretta shotguns, so the problem may not be unique to Stoeger.
