I was needing a semi-auto 20 gauge and finally found one in stock so I grabbed it. It's the Stoeger M3020 with a 28" barrel, blue and walnut. I know the wood will ad some weight to help counter the inertia system. Just put 50 rounds of low base through it without a hitch. It's light, not bad looking, and I can live with the trigger. Tore it down after the 50 rounds and it is still very clean insinde. Nice. Being a large person I need about 3/8" more length of pull. Any good suggestions?
Being 70 this gun being light to carry when walking is going to be a big plus. I can see that already. Anything I should watch out for with these guns?
Thanks

I would make and fit a spacer under the recoil pad or buy a grind to fit pad of the correct thickness. Slip ons are a poor choice for a good fit.

I would call Limbsaver and see if they have direct fit , screw on that will work. I just love my slip on limbsavers. For me they are worth the extra inch. YMMV

Called them and no direct fits. :(
She didn't have this gun listed so she directed me to their templates and I compaired my pad to all of them and none will work. So a spacer will be made and make sure I have the length correct before purchasing a grind to fit.

Made a 3/16" spacer out of white low density nylon. Felt pretty good. Took the pad off and put a slip on limb saver with the spacer and that felt better. Shot about forty clays and felt pretty good. BUT, that red front fiber optic site has to go. These 70 year old eyes are having a hard time tracking red clays with a red sight. Normaly with a brass bead I don't pay much attention to it but I have to keep checking which is the sight and which is the clay with that red thing. :(

I have some yellow fiber optic sights on my turkey shoot shotguns, you might give that a try. I used a piece of hard plastic before the recoil pad to change the lop on a Glenfield 12ga, they make different colors and thickness to try, I replaced the screws also.

Don't know if this is a good idea or not but I'm leaning toward a grind to fit limbsaver.

Been look at different types but there's more choice than womens shoes. Going to try the Champion easy hit. Easy to install and less than $20.

I’m a big believer in grind-to-fit recoil pads. I’ve had a couple installed the last few years, on a 336W and a FABARM L4S.

I had red Pachmayr pads installed because I like the look of red recoil pads on wood stocked long guns. I feel Limbsaver works just as well and have a black pre-fit on a Remington 700 with a synthetic stock.

I'll have to look at the Pachmayr as I didn't realize they made a grind to fit. .
