Pith43, are you in Limon? If so, do you know Terry Ashcraft

Ya, I know Terry, you guys related? :D

Appreciated, friend! If you drink, I need to buy you a beer.

I'm a Diet Coke kinda guy, but if you are ever in my neck of the woods, come on out and go shooting with us. We are going to put a 1,000 yard range on my ranch this spring. You are welcome anytime. :)

Cousins. In fact, very close cousins. I talked to him day before yesterday. I figured if you had lived in Limon more than a week, you would know him.

Show up at the Community Center on the second Sunday in August and I'll buy that Diet Coke for you, and I'll throw in lunch. :)

hehe, if you need more help building that range, I'll take some BBQ too!! (from Aurora)

Oh, and that really stinks about the suppressors. We'll keep an eye out.

We might just have to get something set up for this spring. Maybe we can do a shoot of some kind. We have a couple thousand acres to play on :) I'll post something in the Rallying Point section.

That's probably the best way to find whoever took them. I can't imagine that they won't want to go out and test their new toys somewhere. The more people know about it the better. Checking Craigslist or other sites in Denver might not be a bad idea either.

out of curiosity, what was the ATF's response when you notified them?

Send somthing to Gun Talk, im sure they would put the word out with the radio show......

"Don't bother us unless you have a police report hard copy to send us." in so many words...

There's an idea!! :D

Honestly, I'd love to come out and meet you sometime. Haven't met anyone on THR that hasn't been "grade A" so to speak!

I think if they don't turn up soon somebody local needs to sponsor a "silencer shoot-off" at their range, "quietest suppressed 9mm and up weapons win $100!" Then you wander about checking serial numbers.

Seriously man, that is terrible. I would be freaking out. Luckily, you are well-connected in the gun community, with lots of extra eyes and ears... :) Good luck.

well, did you notify the police? i certainly would. if they are found at a crime scene, it would be a good thing if the police din't come to your door with a warrant trying to compficate all your weapons, and taking you down town. also, i would notify ALL the gunsmiths, gun shops, and pawn shops in your area. if it was punk kids, they will probably turn uo in one of those places first. kids are going to either try to graft them onto something they already have, or try to sell them for beer money.

Sorry to hear it. Being from CO and traveling 287 before the big freeway (70), from TX to Ft Collins. I'm guessing they're heading South across the border.

Yes, less than 3 hours after they were stolen.

Doing so in the AM for the gun shops and pawn shops... as for the gunsmiths, that IS who I am and the students are. ;)

I'm guessing they're heading South across the border

I sure hope not. :(

Do it! You may be surprised at the response. We had 37 people at the first Colorado Get Together. Sandy and I will pitch in.

Same here, and I've met a bunch.

Besides, we've drug this serious thread off topic. Give us a place to talk about building your range, and we'll focus the efforts here on getting the word out about PTK's suppressors.

And, PTK, I'll keep this stickied for a few days, at least until people quit looking at it.

Once again, you have my thanks. :)

I really do appreciate any and all efforts to spread the word about this, folks - NFA items being stolen is a very bad thing for all of us.

If you don't mind me asking, how did it happen? I ask, because it seems to me that unless the range was hella busy, it might be possible to think back and identify any individual(s) that were paying particular attention to your gear. Might help the police get a general idea of who they should be looking for.

Bummer. If they were in a case, can you get it dusted for fingerprints? Also, i'd alert any stores around there; in case anyone tries to buy a threaded barrel / QD flashsup...if you can give them a list of names of the people who were there, and one of them makes an order....if its legit i'm sure the individual wouldn't mind getting called out on it.

I'm over on the Left Coast, and can't help you much, but I just wanted to comment on the really impressive responses you've gotten. These are just great folks.

Hey PTK somebody on Glock Talk told me there is a big gun show in Denver this weekend. You may want to check that out. If they are stupid enough to steal them, maybe they will be stupid enough to try and sell them.

I have a table at the gun show, North side, near the "Clip Guy". I will watch and see if anyone offers them for sale. I will let the other dealers know as well

PTK, drop by my table if you come to the show.

No time to go, unfortunately. If you don't mind keeping an eye out, I'd appreciate it.
