Store bought vs private party purchase

Actually, most of those traces are, I believe, BATFE going to the manufacturer: What distributor did this go to? Distributor: what dealer did this go to? Dealer:you're legally required to keep 4473s for forever. We need to see them. Ah, so this is the last known person to own this SN!

I had a gunshop owner friend tell me they tracked a gun back to him just as you described; it was used in a suicide.

At Sunday's gun show, the buddy who sold me a rifle had it hidden under his table: "A Clear And Present Danger".
He had bought it that morning from a total stranger, and my buddy never even mentioned the guy's name.

What I never imagined was how many criminals crave a Yugo Mauser or Lee-Enfield #4 rifle to hide under their coats or in their waistband, as their prime firearm to perpetrate crimes on our gentle citizens.

Based upon moves by Senator Feinstein and others to pressure the UN (and other cowardly associations in the Brit-Euro Zone: they have a website) into spending money to have countries destroy basically surplus hunting rifles and vast heaps of surplus ammo in various countries, these classic bolt-action rifles, whether Mauser, Lee-Enfield, 1903 Springfields etc, are clearly a dire threat to our western civilization.

My Yugo 8mm Mauser (5-rd. magazine ) from the gun show is the latest in a long diabolical parade of bolt-action weapons:eek: used by gangs in Frayser.
And "MS-13" is importing crates of these into El Salvador.

The details of any gun exchange will vary depending on what state you're in, but regardless, data on gun ownership in the US is like a slice of Swiss cheese. There's lots of information out there, but also lots and lots of holes. There's no way to tell exactly what is known about your firearms, or by whom.

There are, however, a lot of firearms out there that cannot be traced to their current owners, and therefore to you if you purchase from them.

If they don't believe you, they will probably burn your house down, rape your dog, and slap your wife while they look for it

You left out Stomp your kittens to death.

I see no reason to support the beast (.gov) that now is trying to undermine our constitutional rights, unless it’s the only way to get the gun of your choice. My choice would be private sales as often as possible.

That makes zero sense. Going through NICS checks in no way "supports" the government. Even if it did, you pay taxes, right?

Welcome to "supporting the beast".

I've had gunshop owners tell me lots of things - doesn't mean that they're true.

There’s more than one way to support the beast I wasn't speaking of financial.

And yes I do believe him and they (feds) wanted to examine the 4473.

there is an estimated 40 to 50 million households in the US with firearms in them and people think that one day the government is going to go door to door and get them.

I don't think the Gub'ment will one confiscate your guns.
I think they will tax them out of existence.
If one were to be required to pay $100 per year per firearm as a "fee", it would take the pleasure out of ownership.
Don't think with government healthcare, something like this isn't possible. "It's to offset the additional costs of treating gunshot victims." Yeah, right.

^^And all those people getting this new tax also vote. This would be political suicide. Don't think that the political machines on both sides have been paying attention to the recent increase in sales. They know these people are passionate about their firearms and vote.

Cranky CJ

While I do agree with you I also agree with Guns and more. After all they did exactly what he was talking about in 1934 with the National Firearms Act. With small enough steeps who knows what could happen?

With that said I buy my guns from Stores and individuals. It depends on who has the gun I want, and nothing else.
