Store Owner Shoots Armed Robber(ATLANTA)

An Atlanta store owner who was approached by an armed man Sunday afternoon fired on the suspect during a gunbattle in the parking lot of his business, police officials told 11Alive News.

The 25-year-old suspect suffered some gunshot wounds and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition. His name has not been released.

Authorities said the suspect jumped out of his car about 4 p.m. and ran up on the owner of the Goody's Fashions store on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, just inside I-285 in Northwest Atlanta. The two got into some kind of gunbattle in the parking lot but only the suspect ended up wounded.

No charges have been filed against the business owner.

Carrollton -- Three college students will not be charged in a deadly home invasion. Carrollton police say the three University of West Georgia students acted in self-defense. The young men told police a stranger invaded their apartment around 5 am Friday and threatened them with a gun. Two students were pistol whipped, and the third student grabbed a knife and fought back against the attacker. "They were big guys, I mean, I don't know why that guy chose that apartment. He picked the wrong one," says a neighbor. The suspect was identified as 22-year-old Courtney Vaughn. He died on the way to the hospital. The three students say they did not know him.

Here over the weekend a arabic store clerk shot a guy as he ran out of the store with (2) 12 packs. The thief just went in unarmed and tried to leave with (2) 12 packs of beer without anyone seeing him. Well the clerk saw him,chased him,a nd shot him. The guy didnt die but is close to it. Lets just say the store clerk is facing charges! What a idiot!

Way to go. I hope the knife wielding roommate doesn't have too much psychological trauma. It's gonna be tough for that kid. Hopefully the university counselors will be able to assist if he turns to them....

Why he's a theif and if more were shot down like dogs. Then maybe some might change the mine and become honest. I would have dropped looters in NO as fast as I could.Same thing at the roits bleed some and others won't be so quick to join. People aren't so quick to steal and roit if theirs a chance they might die. Oh I sorry I suppose to be PC and say its ok to steal and cost millions to stores a year and roiting and burning down whole sections of a town destroying peoples lifes and property is OK because their just misunderstood or their foot ball team or what ever lost or won a game. Their isn't a reason to steal unless maybe to save a life. No reason to destroy peoples property either. Shoot them .

Im just curious to what makes you think you can be the judge and Jury for crimes then..A kid steals a pack of gum time to get out the shotgun.Stealing gum is a crime..Get em young,I meen what kids going to steal gum now.We need to go through the legal system for stuff like this i think.If the guy had a gun and was shooting back sure then a life is in danger.As gun lovers I dont see how we cant support the rite to a trial for a person stealing beer.If we dont like his rite to trial do we also forget our gun rites.Just something to ponder.

Added-And can you guaranty that everyone who has a gun is going to hit the target and not kill the old lady walking down the street.And what if somebody shoots at a bad guy and misses and hits somebody elses buisness.Wouldnt that be vandalizm?
