I have quite an investment in Magpul PMAGS. I really want to get enough of em to hold ALL of my ammo. But... I dont want to screw em up. Should I store them loaded if i keep the feed lip clips on them?

Ditto. The ONLY issue I've ever had with storing a loaded magazine for a long time is on a cheaper metal mag. The lips would become slightly expanded from the pressure of the rounds pushing upward on them. As far as springs, the action of compressing and releasing the spring wears it out, storing it compressed or free has no effect on it's life span.

And PMAG's rock :)

You can actually fit 31 rounds in a 30 rd PMAG, although that isn't the purpose of the extra space. When you put the cover on, it pushes the loaded rounds deeper in the magazine away from the feed lips to take the pressure off of them and keep them from deforming/cracking. You an leave PMAGS loaded indefinitely.

Yes. You can keep pmags loaded. I would absolutely use the dustcover, as it takes pressure off of the feedlips. My duty mags at work are pmags, and when I'm working the dustcovers are clipped to the baseplates, but when they're stored in my locker the dustcovers are in place. Probably unnecessary, but it makes me actually inspect each of my mags and my carrier every day, which is probably not a bad thing.
