Hi,
I am trying to find out about a sight that is on my Borchardt Sharps. Apparently, it is not the original and I need to find out what it was for. It seems to fit the gun perfectly and has the same patina on it that the rest of the gun has, so it was replaced way long ago in the vast recesses of time. It has a serial number on the side of the sight that does not match the gun, but is a 4 digit serial number.
It fits the barrel radius perfectly and really looks like it was put on at the factory that way, but who knows... Could it be from another Sharps Rifle?
