Hello,
I just read a post here from last March about a PT145 that wouldn't disassemble. I bought mine new, yesterday, and very easily disassembled it the first time, right on the spot, for inspection of internal parts, reading the instructions thoroughly. I was VERY pleasantly surprised - having been a long-time 1911 shooter - at how nicely it came apart. As expected, it had a lot of "packing grease", and I determined to clean the weapon thoroughly prior to putting any ammo through it. But when I tried the exact same disassembly procedure at home, the slide came forward about 1/8" ahead of battery and stuck. Now it won't move forward or backward. It "feels" stuck near the rear, let's say somewhere between the trigger and the striker. Having read previous posts advocating "a stiff pull" required to remove the slide, I put the rear of the slide down on my wooden benchtop, (muzzle skyward) pulled-back on the trigger, and pushed down on the frame as hard as I dared. It wouldn't budge. Has anyone else had this happen? Guessing the gun has to go back to Taurus unless there is something I am missing. Thanks, in advance.
Chris
